Enrolled children in the school district community shall have an equal opportunity for a quality public education without discrimination on the basis of age, color, creed, disability, gender identity, national origin, pregnancy, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, physical attributes, physical or mental ability or disability, ancestry, political party preference, political belief, socioeconomic status, familial status, or veteran’s status.
The education program shall be free of such discrimination and provide equal opportunity for participants. The education program shall foster knowledge of respect and appreciation for the historical and contemporary contributions of diverse cultural groups, as well as men and women, to society. It shall also reflect the wide variety of roles open to both men and women and provide equal opportunity to both sexes.
